Practical online workshops ‘’mental fitness’’ in Corona times

Due to the corona, many typical relaxation resources have been lost or are being restricted. Most contacts occur online and the personal daily routines of many has changed completely. There are concerns about one’s own health and that of the loved ones. Uncertainties about work and income may also rise.

Workshop -Leadership during demanding times

By providing practical psychological tools and insights to managers, they can better support their teams and employees during this demanding time.

The insights and tools shared in this workshop were yielded from 24 years of experience in the work field as a psychologist ,who has collaborated with people and companies in demanding personal- and work related situations.

Target audience :Executives
Maximum group size: 8 peopl
Duration: 2 times x 2 hours, online

Workshop 1: (duration 2 hours)

  • Coping with a long-term challenging situations
  • Awareness of maintaining self-management/ the prevention of long-term environment-driven behavior by an individual or the group
  • Basic management strategies in leading during a demanding time including; tempo, recovery time, energy resources, support and protect, influence/control
  • Strengthening resilience; individual and group’s traffic light

Workshop 2: (duration 2 hours)

  • sequel ; applying the individual and group traffic light
  • Follow-up: basic management strategies during a demanding time
  • Hardy leadership: ‘what have we been able to contribute’, giving hope and perspective
  • Strengthening professional self-efficacy

There is a pause of 2 to 3 weeks between the two workshops. During this time participants can apply all that which they have learned. A collegial buddy system supports the usage of these strategies in the beginning.

Workshop: Working during demanding times

Experience shows that most people work harder at home and take fewer break. It’s not healthy to sit behind a monitor for eight hours straight. Continuous online meetings require a lot of focus and concentration. It is important to balance the work at home pace. In this workshop, we offer practical tools and strategies that benefit employees right away.

Social/emotional support walks

During the Corona era, many individuals lack personal support. Research has shown that social support is a very important factor in dealing with challenging times. Due to this reason, Balans & Impuls organizes social/ emotional support walks, which are led by a trainer/a trouble shooter. In addition to exchanging mutual experiences and tips, tools that help keeping a good mental condition are shared when deemed necessary. It is possible to register as an individual or as a group. These walks take place in the Hague region, but on request , it can also take place elsewhere.

Traffic light tool app

The Traffic Light tool app, has been developed for five years in collaboration with TU Delft and rescue workers. The tool aims at maintaining mental fitness in demanding jobs. With a login code, an organization can also make the app accessible to all its employees.

Costs: one-time 5.95 euros for unlimited use
